I have never done any handstand or headstand in my life until I hired this young guy-Keith! Yes! He has the most enthusiastic environment and challenging way to train, he does not discriminate based on age. I’m 50 + and he has made me so strong and hungry to continue to grow my infinite fitness journey. At the end of the day, humans are designed to MOVE. Unfortunately, society does NOT place enough emphasis on the importance of mobility. For example, we tend to “stretch” after the body is injured. Why not stretch to prevent injury? For a large portion of our lives, we spend hours sitting down whether we are studying in the classroom, driving to work, watching a movie in a theater, etc. Most of these activities are a common part of the way our society functions. However, understand that without the proper maintenance to counterbalance these traditional behaviors, your body will eventually start to lose mobility. Which may result in injury or many other health-related issues. With that being said, I am a huge believer in functional training. By incorporating yoga, calisthenics, kettlebell training, etc... I have developed a philosophy that has benefited each one of my clients. Now I’m sure you’re curious, what about weight lifting? Yes, it is very important for various reasons as well! However, it should not necessarily be your primary focus. If your mobility is on point, your movement patterns will flow easily. Thus allowing your body to maximize its full potential when you do engage in ANY form of resistance training. That my friends is the secret to success 🙌🏾 TRAINING FOR PERFORMANCE AND A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!
